Pennsylvania High School Football - Blackhawk succumbs to West Allegheny

(October 3, 2008: Beaver Falls, PA 15010) The West Allegheny Indians thwarted the host Blackhawk Cougars football team by a count of 21-13 in Friday's league outing.

With the win, West Allegheny upgrades its record to 5-1 on the season. The Indians host Hopewell (Aliquippa, PA) to encounter the Vikings in a WPIAL AAA Parkway outing on Friday, October 10. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Hopewell won 35-6 in their recent non-league bout against Riverside (Ellwood City, PA)

The Cougars (5-1) will now prepare for their bout against Montour (McKees Rocks, PA). The Spartans enter the WPIAL AAA Parkway bout with a 4-2 record. In their last bout, Montour was toppled by New Castle (New Castle, PA), 48-12, in a league bout.
