California High School Basketball - Carlsbad nips Cienega

(December 30, 2011: Carlsbad, CA 92008) Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Carlsbad Lancers (Carlsbad, CA) and the visiting Cienega Bobcats (Vail, AZ), saw Carlsbad's basketball squad hold off Cienega by a score of 71-69.

With the victory, Carlsbad improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Ramona (Ramona, CA) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 6-7. Ramona won 69-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Guajome Park Academy (Vista, CA)

Next up, the Bobcats battle the Rincon Rangers (Tucson, AZ) in a I Section II challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Cienega will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record.
