New York High School Volleyball - Glen Cove Hempstead
(October 21, 2009: Hempstead, NY 11550) The Hempstead Tigers topped the visiting Glen Cove Big Red volleyball team by a score of 3-1 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Tigers now have a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carey for a non-league test on Friday, October 23. Hempstead will confront a Seahawks team coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Wheatley (Old Westbury, NY). The Seahawks record now stands at 8-3.
The Big Red (1-6) will now prepare for their test against Malverne (Malverne, NY). The Mules enter the non-league test with a 3-5 record. In their last test, Malverne gained a win over North (Great Neck, NY), 3-0, in a non-league test.
