(October 1, 2011: Staten Island, NY 10312) The Monsignor Farrell LION thwarted the host St. Joseph-by-the-Sea Vikings football team by a count of 21-13 in Saturday's league outing.

With the win, Monsignor Farrell upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The LION host Kellenberg Memorial (Uniondale, NY) to confront the Firebirds in a Catholic AAA-AA outing on Friday, October 7. The Firebirds go into the outing with a record of 0-4. Kellenberg Memorial lost 29-28 in their recent league outing against Fordham Prep (Bronx, NY)

With the loss, St. Joseph-by-the-Sea moves to 1-3 on the season. The Vikings host Chaminade (Mineola, NY) to confront the Flyers in a Catholic AAA-AA outing on Saturday, October 8. The Flyers go into the outing with a record of 3-1. Chaminade won 21-20 in their recent league outing against Holy Trinity (Hicksville, NY)
