Washington High School Football - Skyline can't hold off Issaquah

(October 13, 2006: Sammamish, WA 98075) Issaquah Eagles (Issaquah, WA) supporters exited the stadium in high spirits Friday as they observed their football squad get by the host Skyline Spartans (Sammamish, WA), 19-18 in a league contest.

Next up, the Eagles meet the Mercer Island Islanders (Mercer Island, WA) in a 3A KingCo contest, on Friday, October 20. Issaquah will attempt to improve on its 5-2 season record. The Islanders enter the contest with a 3-4 record after their 56-14 league win over Interlake (Bellevue, WA).

The Spartans now own a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Woodinville for a non-league contest on Thursday, October 19. Skyline will meet a Falcons team coming off a 28-7 league win over Roosevelt (Seattle, WA). The Falcons record now stands at 5-2.
