(November 18, 2011: North Branford, CT 06471) The Lewis Mills Spartans football team (Burlington, CT), was ripped 58-20 in Friday's league challenge with the host North Branford Thunderbirds (North Branford, CT)

The Thunderbirds (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Hyde Leadership (Hamden, CT). The Howling Wolves come into the Pequot - Sassacus challenge with a 4-5 record. In their last challenge, Hyde Leadership trounced Nonnewaug (Woodbury, CT), 33-0, in a league challenge.

The Spartans now sport a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Nonnewaug for a Pequot - Sassacus challenge on Thursday, November 24. Lewis Mills will meet a Chiefs team coming off a 33-0 league loss to Hyde Leadership (Hamden, CT). The Chiefs record now stands at 0-9.
