Arizona High School Basketball - Sabino trounces Santa Rita

(January 17, 2012: Tucson, AZ 85730) The Sabino Sabercats (Tucson, AZ) basketball crushed the host Santa Rita Eagles (Tucson, AZ), 56-12 in Tuesday's league test.

The Sabercats (11-10) will now prepare for their test against Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ). The Lancers go into the II Section I test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, Salpointe Catholic was trounced by Cholla (Tucson, AZ), 34-32, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 0-11 record. They take the field next when they host Cienega for a non-league test on Friday, January 20. Santa Rita will clash with a Bobcats squad coming off a 41-38 non-league loss to Douglas (Douglas, AZ). The Bobcats record now stands at 14-4.
