California High School Basketball - Greenville overwhelmed by Providence

(January 3, 2009: Greenville, CA 95947) The Providence Lions basketball team scored 46 points and restricted the host Greenville Indians to 19 in the Lions non-league victory on Saturday.

The Lions now sport a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Redding Adventist for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 6. Providence will meet a Lumberjacks team coming off a 63-32 non-league loss to East Nicolaus (Nicolaus, CA). The Lumberjacks record now stands at 0-7.

The Indians (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Quincy (Quincy, CA). The Trojans come into the Feather River contest with a 4-5 record. In their last contest, Quincy was routed by Wheatland (Wheatland, CA), 59-45, in a non-league contest.
