(October 5, 2007: Clay, WV 25043) The Roane County Raiders football squad scored 27 points and restricted the host Clay County Panthers to 20 in the Raiders league victory on Friday.

The Raiders now possess a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Calhoun for a Little Kanawha battle on Thursday, October 11. Roane County will play a Red Devils squad coming off a 42-7 league win over South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV). The Red Devils record now stands at 5-1.

Coming up next, the Panthers play the Oak Hill Red Devils (Oak Hill, WV) in a non-league battle, on Friday, October 12. Clay County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Red Devils go into the contest with a 3-4 record after their 20-6 non-league win over Webster County (Upper Glade, WV).
