(January 17, 2012: Grants Pass, OR 97526) Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Grants Pass Cavemen (Grants Pass, OR) and the visiting Roseburg Indians (Roseburg, OR), saw Grants Pass's basketball squad hold off Roseburg by a score of 49-45.

The Cavemen (9-5) will now prepare for their test against Crater (Central Point, OR). The Comets go into the 6A Southern Oregon test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Crater got by Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR), 79-25, in a non-league test.

The Indians now own a 5-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Medford for a 6A Southern Oregon test on Friday, January 20. Roseburg will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 95-51 league win over North Medford (Medford, OR). The Panthers record now stands at 15-0.
