California High School Basketball - University holds off Bellarmine-Jefferson

(January 3, 2012: Burbank, CA 91501) Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the University Trojans (Irvine, CA) and the host Bellarmine-Jefferson Guards (Burbank, CA), saw University's basketball squad hold off Bellarmine-Jefferson by a score of 66-64.

With the victory, University improves its record to 7-7 on the campaign. The Trojans host Paramount (Paramount, CA) to play the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. Paramount won 64-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Valencia (Placentia, CA)

Next up, the Guards play the Providence Pioneers (Burbank, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 7. Bellarmine-Jefferson will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record.
