Pennsylvania High School Football - North Star held off by Portage

(October 17, 2008: Boswell, PA 15531) In Friday's league game, the Portage Mustangs (Portage, PA) football team tipped the host North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA), by a final score of 42-35.

The Mustangs (8-0) will now prepare for their game against Berlin Brothersvalley (Berlin, PA). The Mountaineers come into the Western Pennsylvania [WPAC] game with a 3-5 record. In their last game, Berlin Brothersvalley was tipped by Conemaugh Township (Davidsville, PA), 28-7, in a league game.

The Cougars now hold a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ferndale for a Western Pennsylvania [WPAC] game on Saturday, October 25.
