Minnesota High School Basketball - Duluth East thwarts Hermantown

(February 2, 2012: Duluth, MN 55812) The Duluth East Greyhounds (Duluth, MN) basketball felled the visiting Hermantown Hawks (Hermantown, MN), 63-44 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Greyhounds (15-4) will now prepare for their test against Superior (Superior, WI). The Spartans go into the non-league test with a 12-4 record. In their last test, Superior defeated Marshall (Duluth, MN), 91-32, in a non-league test.

The Hawks now own a 14-6 record. They take the field next when they host Eveleth-Gilbert for a non-league test on Friday, February 3. Hermantown will clash with a Golden Bears squad coming off a 54-49 non-league win over South Ridge (Culver, MN). The Golden Bears record now stands at 9-11.
