(September 12, 2008: Meyersdale, PA 15552) The Meyersdale Red Raiders football team (Meyersdale, PA), was knocked off 22-7 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting North Star Cougars (Boswell, PA)

The Cougars (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Rockwood (Rockwood, PA). The Rockets come into the Western Pennsylvania [WPAC] challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Rockwood was knocked off by Conemaugh Valley (Johnstown, PA), 37-19, in a league challenge.

The Red Raiders now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Berlin Brothersvalley for a Western Pennsylvania [WPAC] challenge on Friday, September 19. Meyersdale will meet a Mountaineers team coming off a 20-2 league win over Shade (Cairnbrook, PA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 1-2.
