Texas High School Basketball - Lake View overwhelmed by Midway

(February 3, 2012: Waco, TX 76712) The Midway Panthers basketball team scored 58 points and restricted the visiting Lake View Chiefs to 37 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 13-17 record. They play next when they travel to University for a 4A Region I District 8 contest on Tuesday, February 7. Midway will meet a Trojans team coming off a 47-23 league loss to Stephenville (Stephenville, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 6-21.

The Chiefs (1-10) will now prepare for their contest against Waco (Waco, TX). The Lions come into the 4A Region I District 8 contest with a 15-16 record. In their last contest, Waco was routed by Killeen (Killeen, TX), 49-46, in a league contest.
