Arizona High School Basketball - Camelback topped by Central

(January 5, 2012: Phoenix, AZ 85012) The Central Bobcats basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Camelback Spartans to 45 in the Bobcats league victory on Thursday.

The Bobcats now sport a 6-8 record. They play next when they travel to Browne for a I Section I contest on Friday, January 6. Central will meet a Bruins team coming off a 66-62 league win over Alhambra (Phoenix, AZ). The Bruins record now stands at 5-10.

The Spartans (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Maryvale (Phoenix, AZ). The Panthers come into the I Section I contest with a 1-11 record. In their last contest, Maryvale was defeated by Westwind Prep Academy (Phoenix, AZ), 72-56, in a non-league contest.
