St. Anthony's Friars (Melville, NY) supporters exited the stadium in high spirits Saturday as they observed their football squad thwart the visiting
Holy Cross Knights (Flushing, NY),
30-20 in a league challenge.
The Friars now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to
Iona Prep for a
Catholic AAA challenge on Saturday, September 23.
St. Anthony's will clash with a Gaels squad coming off a
35-16 league win over
St. Joseph-by-the-Sea (Staten Island, NY). The Gaels record now stands at 2-0.
With the defeat,
Holy Cross moves to 1-1 on the campaign. The Knights host
Chaminade (Mineola, NY) to clash with the Flyers in a
Catholic AAA challenge on Saturday, September 23. The Flyers go into the challenge with a record of 1-1.
Chaminade lost
34-20 in their recent league challenge against
Mt. St. Michael Academy (Bronx, NY)
