Arizona High School Basketball - Fairfax prevails Westwind Prep Academy

(February 1, 2012: Laveen, AZ 85339) Fairfax Stampede (Laveen, AZ) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Westwind Prep Academy Warriors (Phoenix, AZ), 77-65 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fairfax upgrades its record to 22-3 on the season. The Stampede host Agua Fria (Avondale, AZ) to encounter the Owls in a II Section III bout on Friday, February 3. The Owls go into the bout with a record of 10-14. Agua Fria lost 64-63 in their recent non-league bout against Kellis (Glendale, AZ)

Next up, the Warriors encounter the Central Bobcats (Phoenix, AZ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 2. Westwind Prep Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 16-8 season record. The Bobcats go into the bout with a 13-13 record after their 77-69 non-league win over Marcos de Niza (Tempe, AZ).
