New York High School Softball - Brocton North Collins

(May 6, 2011: North Collins, NY 14111) In Friday's league contest, the North Collins Eagles (North Collins, NY) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Brocton Bulldogs (Brocton, NY), by a margin of 9-3.

With the triumph, North Collins moves its record to 6-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to Chautauqua Lake (Mayville, NY) to play the Thunderbirds in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus III West contest on Monday, May 9. The Thunderbirds come into the contest with a record of 6-3. Chautauqua Lake won 13-5 in their recent league contest against Maple Grove (Bemus Point, NY)

In their next game, the Bulldogs play the Pine Valley Central Panthers (South Dayton, NY) in a non-league contest, on Monday, May 9. Brocton will attempt to move on its 0-5 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 7-2 record after their 4-3 non-league win over Maple Grove (Bemus Point, NY).

Scoring Summary

WE were slow at the start of todays game.Finally woke up in the fifth inning to score seven.Went on to win nine to three.In the fifth Jessica Lawton reached on an error. Abby Richmond and Christie Goodheart each singled.Kayla kron hit a bases clearing Grand Slam Home Run to start the scoring.Robyn Mehnert singled.Hannah Renaldo lined out to the shortstop for the first out. Casey Hausner hit a triple scoring Mehnert.Rachel Gates homered scoring Hausner and herself.Faith Bacon K'ed for out number two.Jessica Lawton Flew out to second to end the inning.We added two more in the sixth to end the scoring. Nice win.
