Arizona High School Basketball - Mesquite topped by Mountain View
(January 29, 2010: Mesa, AZ 85213) The Mountain View Toros basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Mesquite Wildcats to 60 in the Toros league victory on Friday.
The Toros now sport a 18-3 record. They play next when they travel to Highland for a 5A Central contest on Tuesday, February 2. Mountain View will meet a Hawks team coming off a 95-77 league loss to Basha (Chandler, AZ). The Hawks record now stands at 1-20.
The Wildcats (18-4) will now prepare for their contest against Gilbert (Gilbert, AZ). The Tigers come into the 5A Central contest with a 7-15 record. In their last contest, Gilbert beat Corona del Sol (Tempe, AZ), 77-65, in a league contest.
