Texas High School Basketball - Jourdanton overwhelmed by Nixon-Smiley
(December 8, 2011: Jourdanton, TX 78026) The Nixon-Smiley Mustangs basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Jourdanton Indians to 25 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Thursday.
The Mustangs now sport a 10-1 record. They play next when they travel to Marion for a 2A Region IV District 29 contest on Tuesday, December 13. Nixon-Smiley will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 60-40 non-league win over Roma (Roma, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 8-2.
The Indians (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Natalia (Natalia, TX). The Mustangs go into the 2A Region IV District 30 bout with a 3-9 record. In their last bout, Natalia was crushed by Stockdale (Stockdale, TX), 57-26, in a non-league bout.
