Michigan High School Basketball - Shrine Catholic prevails Lutheran North

(January 27, 2012: Royal Oak, MI 48073) Shrine Catholic Knights (Royal Oak, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lutheran North Mustangs (Macomb, MI), 62-54 in a league bout.

With the win, Shrine Catholic upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Knights travel to Divine Child (Dearborn, MI) to play the Falcons in a Catholic West bout on Tuesday, January 31. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 9-2. Divine Child lost 58-47 in their recent league bout against Bishop Foley (Madison Heights, MI)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Bishop Foley Ventures (Madison Heights, MI) in a Catholic West bout, on Tuesday, January 31. Lutheran North will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Ventures go into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 58-47 league win over Divine Child (Dearborn, MI).
