California High School Basketball - Newark Memorial thwarts Lake Oswego
(January 16, 2012: Newark, CA 94560) The Newark Memorial Cougars (Newark, CA) basketball felled the visiting Lake Oswego Lakers (Lake Oswego, OR), 50-38 in Monday's non-league test.
The Cougars (12-4) will now prepare for their test against Logan (Union City, CA). The Colts go into the Mission Valley test with a 7-11 record. In their last test, Logan went down by Freedom (Oakley, CA), 64-58, in a non-league test.
The Lakers now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they host Canby for a 6A Three Rivers test on Friday, January 20.
