Minnesota High School Basketball - Champlin Park holds off Coon Rapids

(January 12, 2012: Coon Rapids, MN 55433) Champlin Park Rebels (Champlin, MN) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Coon Rapids Cardinals (Coon Rapids, MN), 69-68 in a league bout.

With the victory, Champlin Park upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Rebels host Elk River (Elk River, MN) to play the Elks in a Northwest Suburban bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Elks come into the bout with a record of 7-5. Elk River lost 82-71 in their recent league bout against Park Center (Brooklyn Park, MN)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Buffalo Bison (Buffalo, MN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Coon Rapids will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record. The Bison come into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 47-43 league loss to Big Lake (Big Lake, MN).
