Texas High School Basketball - Lytle holds off Gonzales

(December 3, 2011: Gonzales, TX 78629) Lytle Pirates (Lytle, TX) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Gonzales Apaches (Gonzales, TX), 38-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lytle upgrades its record to 4-4 on the season. The Pirates travel to Stacey (San Antonio, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 8. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Stacey lost 78-29 in their recent non-league bout against Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX)

Next up, the Apaches play the Columbus Cardinals (Columbus, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Gonzales will attempt to upgrade on its 3-10 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 6-2 record after their 34-33 non-league loss to Goliad (Goliad, TX).
