California High School Basketball - Calabasas edges Newbury Park
(January 16, 2008: Calabasas, CA 91302) The Calabasas Coyotes (Calabasas, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Newbury Park Panthers (Newbury Park, CA), 68-61 in Wednesday's league test.
The Coyotes (9-10) will now prepare for their test against Simi Valley (Simi Valley, CA). The Pioneers go into the Marmonte test with a 18-1 record. In their last test, Simi Valley got by Moorpark (Moorpark, CA), 76-54, in a league test.
The Panthers now own a 7-12 record. They take the field next when they host Agoura for a Marmonte test on Friday, January 18. Newbury Park will clash with a Chargers squad coming off a 77-62 league loss to Westlake (Westlake Village, CA). The Chargers record now stands at 11-8.
