Texas High School Basketball - Palo Duro holds off Midland
(November 11, 2011: Amarillo, TX 79107) Palo Duro Dons (Amarillo, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Midland Bulldogs (Midland, TX), 39-37 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Palo Duro upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Dons host Coronado (Lubbock, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 22. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 5-1.
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Rosehill Christian Eagles (Tomball, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 11. Midland will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 47-44 non-league win over New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX).
