(December 28, 2011: Chicago, IL 60623) North Lawndale College Prep Phoenix (Chicago, IL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Rock Island Rocks (Rock Island, IL), 63-46 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, North Lawndale College Prep upgrades its record to 4-2 on the campaign. The Phoenix travel to Notre Dame (Peoria, IL) to play the Irish in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Irish come into the bout with a record of 4-7. Notre Dame won 64-51 in their recent non-league bout against Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL)
Next up, the Rocks play the Manual Rams (Peoria, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 7. Rock Island will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 9-1 record after their 71-57 non-league win over Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL).
