Texas High School Basketball - Springtown thwarts Boswell

(January 6, 2012: Fort Worth, TX 76179) The Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX) basketball felled the host Boswell Pioneers (Fort Worth, TX), 51-42 in Friday's league test.

The Porcupines (12-11) will now prepare for their test against Birdville (North Richland Hills, TX). The Hawks go into the 4A Region I District 5 test with a 11-11 record. In their last test, Birdville defeated Brewer (Fort Worth, TX), 61-52, in a league test.

The Pioneers now own a 9-11 record. They take the field next when they host Aledo for a 4A Region I District 5 test on Tuesday, January 10. Boswell will clash with a Bearcats squad coming off a 61-25 league win over Byron Nelson (Trophy Club, TX). The Bearcats record now stands at 19-4.
