Florida High School Basketball - Central holds off River Ridge

(January 25, 2008: New Port Richey, FL 34654) Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Central Bears (Brooksville, FL) and the host River Ridge Knights /Royal (New Port Richey, FL), saw Central's basketball squad hold off River Ridge by a score of 46-44.

With the victory, Central improves its record to 6-16 on the campaign. The Bears host Citrus (Inverness, FL) to play the Hurricanes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 29. The Hurricanes come into the challenge with a record of 14-8. Citrus lost 76-61 in their recent non-league challenge against Wildwood (Wildwood, FL)

Next up, the Knights /Royal play the Zephyrhills Bulldogs (Zephyrhills, FL) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 29. River Ridge will attempt to improve on its 10-12 season record.
