North Carolina High School Basketball - South View crushes Lumberton
(January 4, 2012: Lumberton, NC 28358) South View Tigers (Hope Mills, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lumberton Pirates (Lumberton, NC), 70-31 in a non-league bout.
With the win, South View upgrades its record to 12-0 on the season. The Tigers travel to E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC) to battle the Golden Bulls in a 4A Mid-South challenge on Friday, January 6. The Golden Bulls come into the challenge with a record of 4-6. E.E. Smith lost 42-35 in their recent league challenge against Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC)
Next up, the Pirates battle the Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) in a 4A Southeastern challenge, on Friday, January 6. Lumberton will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 36-32 non-league loss to Red Springs (Red Springs, NC).
