California High School Basketball - Oceanside can't hold off Carlsbad
(January 18, 2012: Carlsbad, CA 92008) The Carlsbad Lancers basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Oceanside Pirates to 63 in the Lancers league triumph on Wednesday.
In their next game, the Lancers confront the Rancho Buena Vista Longhorns (Vista, CA) in a Avocado - West match, on Friday, January 20. Carlsbad will attempt to move on its 7-14 season record. The Longhorns enter the match with a 8-11 record after their 53-48 league loss to La Costa Canyon (Carlsbad, CA).
With the defeat, Oceanside moves to 11-5 on the year. The Pirates travel to El Cajon Valley (El Cajon, CA) to confront the Braves in a non-league match on Monday, January 23. The Braves enter the match with a record of 7-8. El Cajon Valley lost 48-34 in their recent league match against Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA)
