Ohio High School Basketball - Boardman can't hold off East

(February 16, 2010: Youngstown, OH ) The East basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Boardman Spartans to 65 in the non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The now sport a 11-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ursuline for a non-league contest on Friday, February 19. East will meet a Fighting Irish team coming off a 75-46 non-league loss to St. Edward (Lakewood, OH). The Fighting Irish record now stands at 5-9.

The Spartans (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Austintown-Fitch (Youngstown, OH). The Falcons enter the Federal contest with a 3-14 record. In their last contest, Austintown-Fitch was nudged by Canfield (Canfield, OH), 65-41, in a non-league contest.
