Texas High School Basketball - Bowie trounces Arlington
(December 16, 2011: Arlington, TX 76018) The Bowie Volunteers basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Arlington Colts to 28 in the Volunteers league triumph on Friday.
The Volunteers now sport a 13-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Martin for a 5A Region I District 4 contest on Saturday, December 31. Bowie will meet a Warriors team coming off a 57-27 league win over Paschal (Fort Worth, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 9-7.
The Colts (0-13) will now prepare for their contest against Lamar (Arlington, TX). The Vikings enter the 5A Region I District 4 contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Lamar was routed by North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX), 52-44, in a league contest.
