(January 5, 2012: Phoenix, AZ 85050) Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ) and the host Pinnacle Pioneers (Phoenix, AZ), saw Desert Mountain's basketball squad knock off Pinnacle by a score of 68-58.

With the victory, Desert Mountain improves its record to 9-4 on the campaign. The Wolves host North Canyon (Phoenix, AZ) to play the Rattlers in a I Section III challenge on Friday, January 6. The Rattlers come into the challenge with a record of 0-12. North Canyon lost 56-40 in their recent league challenge against Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ)

Next up, the Pioneers play the North Canyon Rattlers (Phoenix, AZ) in a I Section III battle, on Thursday, January 12. Pinnacle will attempt to improve on its 16-3 season record.
