Texas High School Basketball - University can't hold off Midway

(January 20, 2012: Waco, TX 76712) The Midway Panthers basketball team scored 46 points and held the visiting University Trojans to 40 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now sport a 11-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stephenville for a 4A Region I District 8 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Midway will meet a Yellowjackets/Honeybees team coming off a 50-48 league win over Killeen (Killeen, TX). The Yellowjackets/Honeybees record now stands at 12-15.

The Trojans (6-17) will now prepare for their contest against Waco (Waco, TX). The Lions enter the 4A Region I District 8 contest with a 12-14 record.
