Florida High School Baseball - Palmetto Ridge loses to North Port

(February 26, 2009: Naples, FL 34120) The North Port Bobcats crushed the host Palmetto Ridge Bears baseball team by a count of 8-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.

The Bobcats now possess a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Charlotte for a 5A District 12 bout on Friday, February 27. North Port will face a Fightin' Tarpons team coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Bishop Verot (Fort Myers, FL). The Fightin' Tarpons record now stands at 2-1.

Next, the Bears face the Gulf Coast Sharks (Naples, FL) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, March 4. Palmetto Ridge will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Sharks enter the bout with a 4-1 record after their 10-5 non-league win over Golden Gate (Naples, FL).
