(September 19, 2008: Bradenton, FL 34208) The Manatee Hurricanes football squad scored 16 points and restricted the host Southeast Seminoles to 14 in the Hurricanes non-league victory on Friday.

The Hurricanes now possess a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Port Charlotte for a 5A District 11 battle on Friday, September 26. Manatee will face a Pirates squad coming off a 26-19 non-league win over Lehigh (Lehigh Acres, FL). The Pirates record now stands at 1-2.

Coming up next, the Seminoles face the Northeast Vikings (St. Petersburg, FL) in a 4A District 9 battle, on Friday, September 26. Southeast will attempt to advance on its 2-1 season record. The Vikings enter the battle with a 1-2 record after their 22-8 league win over Gibbs (St. Petersburg, FL).
