California High School Basketball - St. Paul thwarted by St. Bernard

(January 26, 2012: Santa Fe Springs, CA 90670) The St. Paul Swordsmen basketball team (Santa Fe Springs, CA), was toppled 52-34 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting St. Bernard Vikings (Playa del Rey, CA)

The Vikings now possess a 18-6 record. They play next when they travel to St. Anthony for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 28. St. Bernard will battle a Saints team coming off a 71-34 league win over St. Mary's Academy (Inglewood, CA). The Saints record now stands at 11-9.

The Swordsmen (13-10) will now prepare for their contest against Serra (Gardena, CA). The Cavaliers enter the Del Rey contest with a 19-3 record. In their last contest, Serra ran past Bishop Amat (La Puente, CA), 52-39, in a league contest.
