Mississippi High School Basketball - Tupelo crushes Lafayette

(December 9, 2011: Tupelo, MS 38801) Tupelo Golden Wave (Tupelo, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS), 60-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Tupelo upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Golden Wave travel to North Panola (Sardis, MS) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 0-5. North Panola lost 86-46 in their recent non-league bout against Coldwater (Coldwater, MS)

Next up, the Commodores play the Grenada Chargers (Grenada, MS) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. Lafayette will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 53-43 non-league win over Southaven (Southaven, MS).
