California High School Basketball - South over North
(January 13, 2012: Torrance, CA 90505) Fans at Friday's league challenge between the South Spartans (Torrance, CA) and the visiting North Saxons (Torrance, CA), saw South's basketball squad knock off North by a score of 48-30.
With the victory, South improves its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Spartans host Centennial (Compton, CA) to battle the Apaches in a Pioneer challenge on Wednesday, January 18. The Apaches come into the challenge with a record of 7-8. Centennial lost 40-32 in their recent league challenge against El Segundo (El Segundo, CA)
Next up, the Saxons battle the Lawndale Cardinals (Lawndale, CA) in a Pioneer challenge, on Wednesday, January 18. North will attempt to improve on its 9-10 season record. The Cardinals go into the test with a 8-9 record after their 53-28 league loss to Torrance (Torrance, CA).
