(January 30, 2009: San Jose, CA 95132) The Piedmont Hills Pirates (San Jose, CA) basketball felled the visiting Santa Teresa Saints (San Jose, CA), 53-37 in Friday's league test.

The Pirates (20-1) will now prepare for their test against Leigh (San Jose, CA). The Longhorns go into the Mount Hamilton test with a 15-6 record. In their last test, Leigh defeated Leland (San Jose, CA), 47-36, in a league test.

The Saints now own a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they host Overfelt for a Mount Hamilton test on Wednesday, February 4. Santa Teresa will clash with a Royals squad coming off a 55-54 league win over Westmont (Campbell, CA). The Royals record now stands at 7-13.
