Texas High School Basketball - Kennard overwhelms Leggett

(December 8, 2011: Kennard, TX 75847) Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Kennard Tigers (Kennard, TX) and the visiting Leggett Pirates (Leggett, TX), saw Kennard's basketball squad trounce Leggett by a score of 54-29.

With the victory, Kennard improves its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Slocum (Elkhart, TX) to play the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Saturday, December 10. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Slocum lost 63-56 in their recent non-league challenge against Hudson (Lufkin, TX)

Next up, the Pirates play the Onalaska Wildcats (Onalaska, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 9. Leggett will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 51-41 non-league loss to Groveton (Groveton, TX).
