Florida High School Basketball - Gulf Coast nips Collier

(January 16, 2009: Naples, FL 34119) Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Gulf Coast Sharks (Naples, FL) and the visiting Collier Cougars (Naples, FL), saw Gulf Coast's basketball squad hold off Collier by a score of 71-64.

With the victory, Gulf Coast improves its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Sharks host Cape Coral (Cape Coral, FL) to battle the Seahawks in a 5A District 15 challenge on Wednesday, January 21. The Seahawks come into the challenge with a record of 11-5. Cape Coral lost 73-71 in their recent league challenge against Fort Myers (Fort Myers, FL)
