Texas High School Basketball - Austin falls to Giddings
(December 27, 2011: Giddings, TX 78942) The Giddings Buffaloes basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Austin Maroons to 33 in the Buffaloes non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Buffaloes now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Stony Point for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 28. Giddings will meet a Tigers team coming off a 50-40 non-league win over Rouse (Leander, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 16-7.
The Maroons (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Manor (Manor, TX). The Mustangs enter the non-league contest with a 2-13 record. In their last contest, Manor was defeated by Rouse (Leander, TX), 57-18, in a non-league contest.
