Kansas High School Basketball - Valley Heights edges Wabaunsee

(December 9, 2011: Blue Rapids, KS 66411) The Valley Heights Mustangs (Blue Rapids, KS) basketball nipped the visiting Wabaunsee Chargers (Alma, KS), 45-42 in Friday's non-league test.

The Mustangs (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Republic County (Belleville, KS). The Buffaloes go into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Republic County got by Beloit (Beloit, KS), 64-40, in a league test.

The Chargers now own a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Rock Creek for a Mid-East test on Tuesday, December 13. Wabaunsee will clash with a Mustangs squad coming off a 55-37 non-league win over Council Grove (Council Grove, KS). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-0.
