California High School Football - De La Salle held off by Don Bosco Prep

(September 27, 2008: Concord, CA 94518) In Saturday's non-league game, the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen (Ramsey, NJ) football team tipped the host De La Salle Spartans (Concord, CA), by a score of 23-21.

The Ironmen (2-1) will now prepare for their game against Teaneck (Teaneck, NJ). The Highwaymen come into the non-league game with a 0-3 record. In their last game, Teaneck was tipped by Clifton (Clifton, NJ), 19-6, in a league game.

The Spartans now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Granada for a East Bay game on Friday, October 3. De La Salle will battle a Matadors team coming off a 24-20 non-league win over Vintage (Napa, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 3-0.
