(December 2, 2011: Quitman, MS 39355) Warren Central Vikings (Vicksburg, MS) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the host Quitman Panthers (Quitman, MS), 61-45 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Warren Central upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Vikings host Brookhaven (Brookhaven, MS) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 6. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 6-2. Brookhaven won 69-54 in their recent non-league bout against Franklin County (Meadville, MS)
Next up, the Panthers play the Northeast Jones Tigers (Laurel, MS) in a 4A Region 5 bout, on Tuesday, December 6. Quitman will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record.
