(December 10, 2011: Jackson, MS 39212) The Meridian Wildcats basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Forest Hill Patriots to 56 in the Wildcats non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the victory, Meridian upgrades its record to 6-5 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Brandon (Brandon, MS) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, December 16. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 7-4. Brandon won 66-60 in their recent non-league bout against Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS)

Next up, the Patriots play the Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 13. Forest Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 4-10 record after their 66-60 non-league loss to Brandon (Brandon, MS).
