Arizona High School Basketball - Mountain View holds off Ironwood Ridge

(January 12, 2012: Tucson, AZ 85742) Mountain View Mountain Lions (Tucson, AZ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ), 45-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Mountain View upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Mountain Lions host Sunnyside (Tucson, AZ) to play the Blue Devils in a I Section II bout on Friday, January 13. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 5-7.

Next up, the Nighthawks play the Tucson Badgers (Tucson, AZ) in a I Section II bout, on Friday, January 13. Ironwood Ridge will attempt to move on its 8-10 season record.
